Desigual teams up with Spanish designer Maria Escote for a vibrant capsule collection
Following its lively collaboration with designer Alphonse Maitrepierre, which was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week last spring, the Spanish fashion brand, Desigual, is back with a new capsule collection in partnership with Maria Escoté, a Spanish designer and a friend of the brand.

Escoté is one of the most best-known designers outside the Iberian Peninsula and is known for her eclectic and joyful style. The part designer, part artist has already dressed international celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Zendaya in her creations.
Both hailing from Barcelona, Desigual and Escoté had previously collaborated during the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in a fashion and lifestyle capsule inspired by Japanese aesthetics, with manga-influenced designs and bold floral prints.
This autumn, the women's fashion brand and the designer reveal their new creative partnership. This "made in Spain" capsule collection of clothing and accessories predominantly employs sustainable raw materials and responsible processes, all while embracing a vibrant color palette, including deep black, red, purple, and neon green.

The collection features a figure-hugging and asymmetrical poppy red dress, exuding glamour, denim patchwork ensembles, a studded leather pleated mini skirt, a ribbed sweater with colorful stripes, a rebellious-looking upcycled lamb leather bag, and an anise-colored plush bucket hat. These items pay homage to the popular party looks of the 1990s and 2000s.
The collection incorporates a plethora of unusual and daring patterns. One standout piece is a unisex sweatshirt with frills and a graffiti-style collage of cat images, playful and somewhat nostalgic. "It's one of the weirdest and riskiest prints we've created," noted designer Maria Escoté.
A unisex sweatshirt, an elongated stretchy dress (made from recycled polyester), and an oversized quilted coat round out the collection. They feature an oversized graphic inspired by a thermal camera, reminiscent of the dotted canvases of pop-art icon Roy Lichtenstein.
"Knowing that my creations allow many people to feel strong, beautiful, smart, or creative when they wear them couldn't make me happier," stated Escoté in a brand statement. "Making people happy is the most rewarding part of this profession."
The campaign, shot by Spanish photographer Txema Yeste, also captures the excitement of disco clubs and rave aesthetics interpreted in ready-to-wear looks. The collection, priced between €19.95 for colorful socks and €299 for a limited-edition leather handbag, is now available on the Desigual website and in Desigual-branded stores.
