Kate Upton Embraces Her Acrobat Side in SI Swim Photo Shoot in Aruba
Kate Upton, a three-time SI Swimsuit cover star, traveled to the stunning beaches of Aruba in 2018 for a photo shoot with renowned photographer Yu Tsai.

Kate’s status as an SI Swimsuit legend is well-earned. Over her six years with the magazine, she graced the cover three times. She debuted in 2011 as Rookie of the Year following her shoot in the Philippines with Raphael Mazzucco. Just a year later, she appeared on the cover of the 2012 issue, shot in Australia, and followed it up with another cover in 2013 after her iconic Antarctic spread with visual artist Derek Kettela. In 2014, Upton was photographed by James Macari in zero gravity for an unforgettable shoot.

After a brief two-year hiatus, the Michigan native returned to the spotlight with a bang, landing another cover in 2017 after a shoot in Fiji. Her most recent SI Swimsuit photo shoot took place in Aruba in 2018.

Today, Upton, who shares a daughter, Genevieve, with her husband, MLB Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, is a co-owner of Vosa Spirits, a non-carbonated vodka water brand. Passionate about modeling, fashion, and fitness, Upton shares personal life updates and fun moments with her 6.7 million Instagram followers. She also recently joined TikTok, where fans are loving her content.

In addition to her business ventures, Upton is set to host Hulu’s upcoming fashion reality competition series, Dress My Tour, and continues to inspire young SI Swimsuit models and women in the fashion industry.

Reflecting on her continued partnership with SI Swimsuit, Upton says, "For me, it was MJ [Day, editor-in-chief]’s passion for the theme of the magazine and that’s why I wanted to be a part of it again. Those are the campaigns I want to do—to inspire women to love themselves. It’s about working hard, eating healthy, and enjoying life—having cheat days, with an emphasis not on the ideal perfect body. It makes me proud to be asked back."
