Raven Lyn, a one-time SI Swimsuit model, is a stunning natural beauty. The Minnesota native, with Latin and African heritage, was photographed by Yu Tsai in Aruba for her 2018 feature.

At 28, Raven always knew she wanted to pursue modeling and has had a love for fashion from a young age. She was known for creatively altering her clothes and experimenting with bold, unique styles. Moving to Los Angeles on her 18th birthday, she never looked back. Since then, Lyn has graced the pages of Elle Arabia and Vogue Russia and appeared in major campaigns for brands like DKNY and Nine West.

Reflecting on her SI Swimsuit experience, she shared, “It was pretty unreal. I’d been dreaming about it for a long time. I’ve loved so many past covers, and I thought, ‘I’m going to do that.’ I knew it was just a matter of when and how, because once I set my mind to something, I’m determined to make it happen.”

Lyn, who’s a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, expressed how fulfilling it was to work with a like-minded team. “It was an amazing experience. Everyone had the same end goal, and it was great to be surrounded by such an incredible group. Each experience is special to me, but the Sports Illustrated shoot was definitely one of the most memorable.”
