Halima Hoy Reflects on Her Memorable Miss Universe Journey

 

 

"Before heading to Miss Universe, my organization prepared me well. Destiny, who had been through it before, shared her experience, so I felt mentally prepared. I made sure to be ready the night before so that my focus in the morning was just on getting dressed, doing my makeup, and ensuring I was physically and mentally ready. I made sure to stay healthy, hydrated, and spiritually grounded. I listened to inspirational videos to stay focused and energized for each day. I also made an effort to connect with as many contestants as possible, learning about their countries and cultures, and building relationships with fellow queens."

 

Representing Belize, Hoy showcased the nation’s vibrant culture and values, emphasizing the strength, warmth, and resilience of all women. While she didn’t win the crown, Hoy walked away with a profound lesson: true beauty lies in authenticity, intelligence, and a clear sense of purpose.
