10 Colombian Designers Showcased at Destination: Colombia Runway at Paraiso Miami Beach
Colombian Swimwear Takes Center Stage at Paraiso Miami Beach

For the third consecutive year, ten of Colombia’s most sophisticated swimwear brands took to the runway at Swim Week in Miami Beach, delivering a must-see showcase of innovation and style. This highly anticipated event is a collaboration between ProColombia and Paraiso Miami Beach, aimed at fostering the growth of the Colombian swimwear industry while presenting buyers and press with a diverse selection of the country’s finest swim brands. Nearly all participating designers prioritize sustainability, incorporating ethical production methods and eco-conscious materials into their collections.
The show highlighted vibrant prints and impeccably constructed swimwear, reinforcing that bold, stylish designs are in vogue. “The Colombian fashion industry has gained worldwide recognition over the past decade. We are currently the number one swimwear provider in Latin America for the U.S. and rank ninth worldwide. Colombia offers unique swimwear designs at the forefront of global trends, integrating innovative techniques and sustainable practices. Our production is also known for its efficiency and flexibility. In the U.S. alone, our swimwear sector grew over 70% between January and May of 2022, reaching exports of over $8 million USD,” said Flavia Santoro, President of ProColombia, the government agency promoting Colombian exports internationally.
“This year, more than 50 Colombian companies are participating in Miami Swim Week, with ten of them leading the Paraiso Miami Beach runway,” Santoro continued. “Thanks to our luxury, differentiated designs and the strengthening of both our retail and wholesale channels, our industry is thriving, and the U.S. remains a key market for Colombian swimwear’s continued success.”
