Inter Miami Announces Signing of Paraguayan Midfielder Matías Rojas
Inter Miami CF has officially signed attacking midfielder Matías Rojas, the club announced Tuesday. The 28-year-old Paraguayan international joins as a free agent after last playing for Brazilian club Corinthians.
Rojas is under contract through the 2024 MLS season, with options for 2025-26, reuniting him with Paraguay teammate Diego Gómez.

"We’re pleased to bring in attacking midfielder Matías Rojas," said Chris Henderson, Inter Miami’s chief soccer officer and sporting director. "He is a skillful and experienced player at both the club and national team levels whose versatility will be an asset for the team. We believe this addition strengthens our squad as we aim to compete for titles after a strong start to the MLS season."
Across his club career, Rojas has recorded 37 goals and 18 assists in 205 matches, with notable stints at Racing Club in Argentina, as well as Cerro Porteño, Lanús, Defensa y Justicia, and Corinthians.
On the international stage, Rojas has one goal in 18 appearances for Paraguay. A predominantly left-footed player, he featured in the 2019 Copa América and continues to be called up for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
"I’m happy—joining a spectacular club like Inter Miami is a dream come true," Rojas said. "I’m excited to compete and help my teammates achieve the team’s objectives."
His long-speculated move was finalized just before the Primary Transfer Window closed on April 23. Known for his versatility, Rojas can play both centrally and out wide, adding depth to head coach Tata Martino’s tactical options.
