Colombian Models Set to Dazzle Costa Rica on the Runway

Three renowned Colombian models—Laura Palacio, Cristina Camargo, and Marcela Gutiérrez—will take to the catwalk tonight, Thursday, September 29, to present the new lingerie collection from the Chamela brand in Costa Rica. The event will be held at the El Exito Betancur ballroom in San José, starting at 8:00 PM.

At 29, Laura Palacio has been modeling for nearly a decade and is also a fashion designer and the titleholder of Miss World Colombia 2010. While she initially felt shy about modeling lingerie, she has since embraced it with pride. "At first, I was shy about going on stage in underwear, but one gets used to it. Eventually, I lost my shyness. It's an honor for me to model this Colombian brand," says Laura.

Cristina Camargo, 28, has been modeling since she was 15 and is also a former Miss Atlantic 2008. For Cristina, modeling lingerie feels "all natural," and she emphasizes that there's no shame in the intimacy of the profession. "Sometimes people stigmatize it, but it's just like being at the beach," she says. Cristina is also starting her own brand of beauty products aimed at empowering women.

Marcela Gutiérrez, 28, brings over a decade of modeling experience to the table. Her career began in Colombian youth contests, and she has since developed a love for lingerie modeling. In addition to modeling, Marcela is studying Business Administration and has opened her own boxing gym. "Boxing gives me discipline and perseverance, which helps me stay in shape for modeling," she says. Marcela is also planning to launch her own clothing brand and is preparing for motherhood.
