Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada arrives in Zamora with a unique exhibition

On Friday, October 3rd 2025, the exhibition "Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada: Design and Creativity" opened at the FUNDOS Fórum Zamora exhibition hall, where it will remain on display until December 14th. The show brings together 52 pieces – including 25 dresses, 16 photographs, and 11 designs – that trace the designer's career from her early days in the Movida Madrileña to her consolidation as an international icon.

The opening was attended by local and provincial authorities, the exhibition curator, a lieutenant colonel, deputies, senators, city councillors, business leaders, and representatives of civil society, as well as Raúl, Director of Culture and Heritage of the Fundos Foundation, and exhibition curator Marisa Oropesa.

The exhibition also marks Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada's return to Zamora, a city she has not presented her work in since 2010, the year she designed costumes and sets for the play La dama boba. This homecoming strengthens the artist's connection with Zamora and allows visitors to enjoy a previously unseen selection of pieces that have graced international runways.

Highlights of the exhibition include her iconic motifs – hearts, hoops, and meninas – alongside meticulous attention to fabrics and embroidery, which maintain a link with Zamora's textile tradition. The exhibition's unique layout offers an experience that unites art, fashion, and creativity in a renovated and accessible space.

The event also underscored the collaboration between the Fundos Foundation and the Zamora Provincial Council, a partnership that will continue with the opening of the Zamora Artists Art Center in the former Provincial Palace, where Fundos works will be permanently housed – further strengthening the province's cultural commitment.
