New York Recognizes Paraguayan Designer Victoria Maluff at Fashion Week

 

In an environment where major fashion houses and the world's most promising emerging brands converge, Maluff opted for a proposal that celebrates Latin American identity through the lens of contemporary luxury. Her collection stood out for its authentic narrative and sophisticated execution. During the event, Maluff received official recognition from the city of New York for her participation in NYFW, with officials highlighting her contribution to the diversity and creative vibrancy of Fashion Week.

 

This achievement is the latest in a career already marked by innovation and high-impact projects. In 2022, Maluff was selected—alongside fellow designers Carlos Burró, Astrid Polleti, Emma Viedma, Lulú Ferrés, Madera Benítez, and Antonella Scavone—to present the editorial production "Identity." That innovative work reimagined six iconic women from Paraguayan history. The production was carried out within the framework of the second anniversary of the newspaper El Nacional, on which occasion Maluff dressed the character "Pancha Garmendia" for the presentation. That project demonstrated her ability to merge history, identity, and contemporary design into a coherent and visually impactful narrative.
