The fashion school invites the Netflix star and champion of inclusivity to speak on his rise in the industry and the influence of Latin American design.
Esmod International has announced that Santiago Artemis, the Argentinian designer and breakout star of Netflix's reality series No Time for Shame, will deliver a special guest lecture. The event is scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM on the school's Pantin campus in Paris.
A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, Artemis established his eponymous workshop in the exclusive Recoleta district of the Argentine capital. His designs are a vibrant celebration of individuality, with his signature "Artemis Girls" embodying bold confidence and a defiant rejection of conformity and traditional gender norms.
According to Esmod's press release, the designer's vision of inclusion champions the acceptance of all people, free from prejudice. This empowering philosophy has fueled his success, attracting a roster of international celebrities including Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, Britney Spears, Ángela Torres, and Xuxa.
The upcoming lecture, open to Esmod students and members of the press, promises not only an address but also an interactive discussion. It will provide a unique opportunity for Artemis to reflect on his unconventional career path, from his Argentine beginnings to international fame, and to discuss the growing significance of Argentinian fashion within the broader Latin American landscape.
Ahead of the event, ten tickets are being offered to the public through a competition on the Instagram accounts of Esmod Paris and Esmod Fashion Business.
Following the lecture, Artemis will lead private coaching sessions for Esmod Paris students on February 7, focusing on collection management and pattern making.
