Miss Tourism Intercontinental Peru 2026: Date, Venue, and Hosts Announced

 

 

Scheduled for Thursday, April 30, the national gala will take place at the historic Rospigliosi Castle in the Lince district of Lima. The event will feature candidates from various regions of Peru, all vying for the opportunity to represent their country at the world finals, which are set to be held from June 23 to 28 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

 

Beyond celebrating beauty, the pageant is committed to promoting both domestic and international tourism in Peru. According to Úrsula Pedreros, the pageant's national director, the competition serves as a platform that unites beauty, culture, and tourism, highlighting the diversity and travel potential of each region.

 

"While this is a beauty pageant, the judges' primary objective will be to crown the contestant who best promotes tourism in her region. This is essential, as we aim to encourage exploration of Peru's most captivating destinations. It is not necessary to leave the country to discover extraordinary natural wonders—many of which remain unknown even to Peruvians themselves," Pedreros stated.

 

The choice of Rospigliosi Castle as the venue adds a touch of elegance and tradition to the proceedings. The gala is expected to be attended by government officials, tourism sector representatives, and notable figures from the national entertainment industry.

 

 

The evening will be emceed by model Romina Lozano—Miss Peru Universe 2018—and television presenter Kurt Villavicencio. Together, they will guide the audience through the various segments of the competition and announce the winner who will go on to represent Peru internationally.

 

Lozano, who brings extensive experience from international pageants and a strong commitment to women's empowerment, views her role as an opportunity to inspire participants and underscore the importance of cultural diversity. Villavicencio, with his long-standing career in Peruvian television and entertainment, will contribute energy and showmanship to the gala.

 

Throughout the event, delegates will present traditional costumes and tourism-focused proposals representing their home regions. The judging panel will evaluate not only poise and charisma but, more importantly, each candidate's ability to serve as an effective ambassador for Peruvian tourism.

 

Director Úrsula Pedreros emphasized that the competition's mission extends far beyond superficial beauty: "We seek to uphold the name of Peru, and our candidates are fully committed to promoting tourism both within the country and abroad."

 

She added that the international competition, now in its 30th year, offers a unique opportunity for young women to shine a spotlight on lesser-known destinations and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Peru's tourism industry.

 

 

The titleholder of Miss Tourism Intercontinental Peru 2026 will bear the responsibility of representing the nation at the grand international final in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, taking place from June 23 to 28. There, she will compete alongside delegates from around the world in a celebration of culture, heritage, and natural beauty.

 

The Lima ceremony is set to be broadcast across various digital platforms starting at 8:00 PM, enabling audiences nationwide to follow the competition and support their favorite contestants.
