Luren Márquez was officially crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) during a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15, at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor, Karla Bacigalupo, in the presence of the reigning Miss Universe, Fátima Bosch from Mexico. With this victory, Márquez now holds the honor of representing Peru at the upcoming Miss Universe 2026 pageant.

Born in Ica, the new Miss Universe Peru brings a strong academic background to her title. She is a graduate of business administration from the University of Lima and also holds a degree in communication from Florida International University in the United States. Her educational achievements complement her professional experience as a television presenter, positioning her as a well-rounded and articulate ambassador for her country.

No stranger to the world of pageantry, Márquez previously placed as first runner-up at the Miss Peru 2024 pageant. Her perseverance and growth since that near-win have culminated in this national triumph.
